Heartland was the pivotal album for the band. It marked the first time they took over production duties and, with two top-forty singles (He Can't Love You and Lover) it remained on the Billboard charts for over a year. It was also the first album that Kevin Raleigh emerged as a featured vocalist and featured a guest appearance by Clarence Clemons of The E Street Band on three songs. For many fans, this one is the band's finest outing.

In the Spring of 1978 MSB headed to Rockfield Studios, Monmouth, Wales to hook up with producer Robert John Mutt Lange to record this one. In addition to a new producer and recording out of the country, Cabin Fever was the first studio album for keyboardist Bob Pelander and the first album for lead guitarist Gary Markasy. It also marked the first Stanley/Pelander writing collaborations that were to become a staple of future albums. The overdubs and mix were done in Wessex and Trident Studios in London, England.

Here it is, the Line Level re-release of MSB's 1984 locally released vinyl offering, Fourth And Ten. At the time, the lineup consisted of Michael Stanley, Bob Pelander, Danny Powers, Tommy Dobeck, Kevin Raleigh, and Michael Gismondi and this "wall-of-sound" live recording was recorded during a multiple-night stand at Northern Ohio's Blossom Music Center. Besides the eight original live cuts this re-release features five bonus cuts: the original writer's demos of four tunes that ended up on the MSB album and one never before heard tune of Michael's. Enjoy!

All right, it's back and LINE LEVEL'S got it! LIVE IN TANGIERS is the 1998 Razor & Tie release of Michael Stanley acoustic shows. This 2-CD, 30-song set was, for the most part, recorded at the Tangiers Nightclub in Akron, Ohio (although several tracks are from shows in St. Louis, Missouri, Sandusky, Youngstown, and Cleveland, Ohio). Recorded with The Resonators, "Tangiers" features twenty-two Michael Stanley/MSB/Ghost Poets standards, interpretations of six songs by some of Michael's favorite writers, and two brand new songs. Michael said that this project was "a chance to strip the tunes down and see where they came from". All in all, it's a unique look at another side of Michael Stanley and his music.
